ROCKVILLE | An Italian cyclocross tale
Amidst the seemingly endless fields of the Po Valley lies Villa Rocca – a 20 people strong community, dominated by a 500-year-old, inexorably crumbling castle. For one day a year, the morbid and almost magical place comes to life. A colorful bunch of velophile Italians convert the castle grounds into a single speed cyclocross course.
Thanks to Velorunner for the heads up.
Illinois State CX Championships at Montrose Harbor. Mens 1/2/3. The hill, first lap, first corner… ICE!!! = Pile-up
a couple shots from my post today over at Embrocation Cycling Journal about the Midwest CX Championships.
it was fucking cold. Tristan Schouten left the Optum wagon running during the pro race, I suspect so he’d have somewhere warm to go afterward. SRAM electric shifting made another appearance.
never realized how much i seem to shoot these 3/4 behind angles. maybe it’s just the new deal. to be honest i’ve barely touched my cameras since Worlds.
anyway, i’m glad to announce that i’m working with Embrocation Cycling Journal, of which i’ve long been an admirer.
anyway, this is the first post i’ve had my hands in. try to figure out which photos are mine and which are my cohort Nick’s!
Hint: the two in this post are mine.
What is Cyclocross? GCN asks the pros.
Rest in peace, Amy.
these are my photos from the only time i saw Amy race, representing the USA at 2013 CX Worlds in Louisville.
